Reflection of 1st Shoot
Our first shoot was not very productive as we did not achieve our desired goals and aspirations whilst recording our music video, due to the creation of a location sheet, production schedule, and actor contract. The implementation of these helped our group visualise and plan exactly how we want to pursue the desired music video that we aimed for, however due to weather and time circumstances we did not achieve or highlight any of our ideas and opinions for the overall video.
As highlighted above Friday 24th November was the date that we planned and decided that we should start the introduction and a few more scenes for our music video. Unfortunately due to the weather conditions, during our filming day it began to rain heavily all night thus hindering our filming and lighting as the sun sets around 4 p.m which is very hard to overcome due to our filming mainly being shot outside. The video below shows the brief part of the music video that we was able to record but we decided to change and to alter our production of the video:
Due to these circumstances and problems we decided to arrange a different time and location for the filming and production of our music video. As many people we wanted to get involved in the creation of our music video many people are time restricted due to work and family related issues and events. Thus making us narrow down and implement a smaller cast for our music video which will favour and impact our initial ideas; such as the main goal for creating a house party music video had to be abandoned with a easier/ cheaper alternative as we chose to use the green screen room in our school. However the implementation of a green screen can broaden and widen our ideas and creativity for different scenes that we can create in the music video and our final product; as the lighting and green screen are already set up this will create ease for editing due to Sony Vegas Pro easily finding the different tones of our skin to the green screen thus challenging our editing skills and decisions.
