Intertexuality - Music Video

The image below helps convey my understanding and test my practice into music videos and how intertextuality is implemented into music videos, for example I decided to use Iggy Azelea's 'Fancy' as the artist's music video is very popular on the internet. As intertextuality is sometimes either very subtle or hard to observe some films and movies include these references to understand the type of target audience they have and to test their knowledge in other media types and movies. In contrast to Iggy Azelea's 'Fancy', their involvement and addition of intertextuality can be easily scene due to the same camera angles and shots being used from the movie 'Clueless'; but also the use of costume easily displays to the media viewer the cultural reference towards the very iconic film.

By far, this shooting day was the most productive and well-planned session that we have conducted after school and in lesson time. The purpose of this post is to highlight the history and events of America in the 1970's; the implementation in the creation of this mind map help our group visualise the struggle and events that impacted peoples lives and how it altered the politics and society of the time period. As a result of this creation, the mind map helps my group to easily understand more about this time period which may also offer us more inspiration due to the time period from this information. Categorising points such as the image below truly paints a vivid picture and creates a widening of understanding to the construction and building of references to the societal culture.
